CommutAir announced a partnership with ATP Flight School to provide ATP graduate flight instructors a financially subsidized path to a pilot job at fast-growing CommutAir and the opportunity to enroll in the United Career Path Program (CPP) at the time of entry into CommutAir. The Tuition Reimbursement Program allows instructors to have up to $11,000 of their flight training costs paid for by CommutAir, in exchange for agreeing to fly for CommutAir after earning the requisite number of flight hours.

CommutAir Pilots Ratify New Long Term Labor Agreement

CommutAir today confirmed that its pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association International (ALPA), ratified a new four year contract that the company called a "significant accomplishment in light of a very challenging employment environment". The new four year deal addresses key quality of life and pay issues as well as important productivity concerns as the Company implements significant growth plans with the addition of 40 Embraer ERJ145 jet aircraft to its fleet pursuant to the recently announced five year flying contract with United Airlines. "I want to thank the negotiating teams from both sides for their focus and tremendous effort in reaching an agreement in two months," said Joel T. Raymond, Chief Operating Officer of CommutAir. "It's not uncommon for such negotiations to last several years beyond a contract amendable date, however, by working together, and staying focused on the key issues, we were able to develop an agreement that rewards the hard work and professionalism of our pilot group and creates a very attractive career path for both current and future CommutAir pilots."
