CommutAir Partners with ATP Flight School for Fast-Track Program
CommutAir, a United Express carrier, announced it will offer a fast-track hiring process for ATP Flight School students, strengthening CommutAir’s partnership with ATP as the airline continues growing.
The program, which is available exclusively to ATP Flight School students and instructors, provides applicants a conditional job offer for a first officer position upon the successful completion of a background check and technical interview, creating a more streamlined hiring and onboarding experience for qualified candidates.
“As we continue to execute our growth plans, our pilot hiring will continue in significant numbers through 2021 and beyond, offering new crew members rapid advancement and upgrade opportunities,” said Joel Raymond, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Expanding our partnership with ATP is strategically important given the high quality “airline-ready” pilots coming out of their structured training programs. This program and partnership will be key in supporting our growth for years to come.”
The company previously announced it hired over 200 pilots in the first quarter of 2021 and plans to recruit an additional 400 pilots through the end of the year. The growth creates more opportunity for new first officers, with shorter reserve times, quicker upgrades to captain, and leadership opportunities in the training department and recruiting.
CommutAir is proud to be a United Express partner for Aviate, United Airlines’ pilot development program. CommutAir pilots in Aviate can transition to United as a First Officer upon completing the Aviate program and hiring requirements. Additionally, ATP Flight School is an Aviate partner flight school, making CommutAir a natural choice for ATP students interested in United Airlines and the Aviate program.
